What will I be studying?

You will begin with a broad range of foundational courses in the humanities, social sciences, science, and mathematics.Interspersed with these general education requirements, you will take classes which are part of the "SMIS core," shared by all students in the school.These classes reflect the SMIS theme of integration of business and technology, and represent information technology, management, quantitative, and communication skills.

As you complete these foundational requirements, you will move into classes specific to the Information Science and Technology (IST) curriculum.In these classes, you will study the most recent advances in computer and information technologies, with a focus on networks, internet computing, web development, data management, human-computer interaction, and e-commerce.
